On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Chambank signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Rif Damascus Chamber of Commerce, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Al-Lahham, CEO of the bank and his representative, and Mr. Abdul Rahim Ziyadeh, President of the Rif Damascus Chamber of Commerce and its representative.
Under the agreement, ChamBank will provide a suite of key electronic services to the Chamber's members, specifically its own services for merchants. These services will facilitate transactions and enable remote payment of Chamber-related fees, such as electronic payments via point-of-sale (POS) terminals and the "Cham Pay" payment gateway.
It is worth noting that ChamBank is the first Islamic bank in Syria, with a capital of 40 billion Syrian pounds. It boasts a wide network of branches across the governorates of Damascus, Rif Damascus, Daraa, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Latakia, and Tartous. The bank holds ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System certification, and ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility certification.
