Customer Complaints
How to raise a complaint
By e-mail
Write to complaints@chambank.sy with your account number and a short description of what happened.
At a branch
Speak to the branch manager directly, or fill in the complaint form available at customer service.
Through the call centre
Call during working hours and a complaint file will be opened for you with a reference number.
What happens once we receive it
Logged
The complaint is recorded under a reference number, which is given to you.
Reviewed
It goes to the relevant department, which examines the transaction records.
Resolved
A decision is taken and the transaction corrected where an error is confirmed.
Answered
We come back to you with the outcome through the channel you prefer.
Within 5 business days
CHAM Bank is committed to answering complaints within five business days of the date they are logged. Where a case needs longer — a transaction involving an external party or a clearing house, for instance — we tell you so, and give you the expected timeframe, rather than leaving you without an answer.
Every complaint is treated in strict confidence, and raising one does not affect your banking relationship with us in any way.
What we need from you
Your details
Your full name as registered with the bank, your account or card number, and a phone number and e-mail we can reply to.
A description of what happened
The date, place and amount of the transaction, plus the branch name or ATM number where relevant.
Attachments, if you have them
A picture of the receipt, the statement, or the alert message — these shorten the review considerably.
