What this document covers
General terms
- Definitions — the bank, the customer, the card, banking transactions, documentary credits, letters of guarantee, the personal identification number, and points of sale.
- The account — a single customer number covering every account at any branch, in local or foreign currency, individual or joint; the registered signature specimen and how a change to it takes effect; and what happens when a customer changes their name.
- Deposits, withdrawals and collection — deposits in cash or by usual banking means subject to AML controls; withdrawals on the customer's accepted instructions or at points of sale; and collection of commercial paper at the bank's discretion, with proceeds available only once collected.
- Fees, security and set-off — the bank may debit fees and commissions per its approved schedule without reference to the customer; may hold securities and property in the customer's name against sums due; and may freeze, set off or transfer between the customer's accounts at any time without prior notice.
- Statements, liability and correspondence — transactions carried out on the customer's instructions are at the customer's risk; neither the bank nor its correspondents is liable for the form or validity of a document; correspondence travels at the customer's expense and risk.
Special terms
Service by service
